Flower Care

The Weekend Florist goes to great lengths to source the very best flowers and products for our customers. Flowers sold online are perishable and a flowers life span is dependent on the variety, season, environment and care, resulting in varied life spans for different flowers. Below are some care tips to help your flowers last as long as possible.

Bloombox Care : Our bloomboxes require minimal maintenance. You do not need to water the flowers as the water in the sponge should be sufficient to last through the remaining lifespan of the flowers. You can also spray some water on the petals to keep them looking fresh.

Wrapped Bouquet Care : Unwrap the bouquet and place the flowers in a vase as soon as possible to ensure that they stay hydrated. We have made the unwrapping process a breeze for you by using materials that are easy to remove. Change the water every other day and add some flower food that came with your flowers. To allow better water absorption, trim the stems by an inch each time you do a change of water.

Vase Arrangement Care : Change the water every other day and add some flower food that came with your flowers. To allow better water absorption, trim the stems by an inch each time you do a change of water.

Flowers prefer the calm and the cool - keep them away from direct sunlight. You can generally expect your flowers to last 4 to 7 days provided they are cared for correctly.
